With kids back-to-school and fall around the corner we all continue to be Covid-cautious about backyard gatherings, children's birthday parties and family events. While we still want to enjoy these last barefoot-in-the-grass days and have a bit more summer-like entertainment we also want to be careful and mindful of the events we organize. What better way to take advantage of these last warm summer days and keep things Covid friendly than with backyard lawn games.
There are so many choices available ... some you can find at your local store and buy for yourselves and others you can rent for a backyard event that everyone will love. Ladder ball, spike ball, croquet, badminton and bocce ball are relatively inexpensive games that you can easily find online or at a store nearby. Grab some coloured paint or chalk and make a hopscotch game on your driveway. Cornhole, oversized jenga, giant checkers and four in a row games are fun to play and easy on your pocketbook to rent. For more organized games that both kids and adults never tire of, potato sack races add hilarious amusement.
Memories of our childhood always include running around outside playing games in the backyard. Even though you've grown a little older, you don’t have to sacrifice your playful spirit ... join your kids and spend these warm September weekends with some backyard fun. No matter if you keep the games casual or organize an Olympic level competition with leader boards and award ceremonies you will have a lot of laughs with these great backyard games.
